Well had no issue holding 1 run lead. 4 runs is way too much to handle.

Who?
LEO!
He is already up to .261/.752. He usually doesn't get there until after the AS break. Good stuff!

Yea he is off to the best start of his career but Cal who cant do shit continues to earn that spot. Seriously if Cal can reach base 5 times this month I would be shocked. He better not be playing hurt to gut it out. He has looked absolutely horrid since his return. I wonder next time he will actually reach 1st

Hancock is gonna blow it again isn't he?

Thank god he did not. Now since he ruined our insurance. Hopefully we can get more or else pen cant make any mistakes.

I think the answer you crave is the old chestnut of analytics. The #2 hitter mathematically gets more ABs in a season than the #3 or #4 etc.

Forget the old school reasoning for your line-up card.

I think I read it somewhere as far back as the SS era.
Which is why it is ludicrous to give a guy with a .250 OBP the second most PAs on the team.
I was going to add. I don't think it's being old school actually. An analytical approach would be to stack your lineup according to your best hitters. Mike trout has always batted second. Because Cal can deliver home runs does that basically make him your best hitter?
Close!!! He is actually our 12th best hitter this season.

Can exclude Wilson and Pereda and he is our 10th best hitter. So KEEP HIM IN THE 2 HOLE AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Yep, that is EXACTLY why you don't PH with dogshit RH hitters in the middle of the game. But he did it with Canzone and Ref had to face a RH reliever and of course failed again. So fucking stupid.

I should have marked this out of the Game Notes

8 (updated, was 7): Mariners pitching staff has picked off 8 baserunners this season, tied most in the Majors (MIL-8 and NYY-8).
