Cal can't be hitting 2nd if he continues hitting like the 2026 version of him.seth8734 wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 1:52 amCal 0-25 seriously he is bad right now. Would rather Pereda he was swinging a good bat. Even Garver is better to watch right now. Btw Mariners have to be the worst team challenging calls ball or strikes. Its been bad.mostonmike wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 1:45 amI should have marked this out of the Game Notes
8 (updated, was 7): Mariners pitching staff has picked off 8 baserunners this season, tied most in the Majors (MIL-8 and NYY-8).
Naylor and Julio continue to contribute but batting behind 0-25 guy. Classic. Seriously if I was Cal I would admit I need to bat lower. He is getting shit pitches and making shit outs. How the fuck are the Sox in the wc they are horrid. This is fun. 3-5 having a monster night. Finally middle of the order offense really getting hott.
Its awesome last time Luke hit 2 homers was against thie team. He rakes against these guys.
Jeff Passan suggested he goes to AAA. You can read it if you go to mynorthwest.comDonn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 2:05 amAA is where the talent is. You can promote him from AA at some point. Really not a need to send him to AAA
OK, he's saying basically he's ready. But jumping from AA to the bigs this quickly would be pretty unheard-of. I can see that. They are going to have to figure out what to do with him rather quickly. I don't think you promote him to AAA and just have him sit there all season.“I actually love the idea of moving Kade Anderson to Triple-A because Triple-A is populated with former big leaguers, and guys who are not gonna swing at your crap, and guys who know how to take professional at-bats and guys who are going to grind you down,” Passan said. “And look, if a guy takes good at-bats and has power, he’s going to be in the big leagues. So there’s always something missing there (with Triple-A hitters), but it’s a different sort of challenge that I think somebody like Kade Anderson could really stand to have before he makes to the big leagues.”
A move to Triple-A would seem like that natural progression for Anderson. However, it is contrary to how the Mariners have handled their top pitching prospects in recent years. Among Logan Gilbert, George Kirby, Bryan Woo and Bryce Miller, Gilbert was the only to pitch in Triple-A before the majors, making one start with Tacoma at the beginning of the 2021 season before being called up to the majors. Kirby, Woo and Miller all went straight from Double-A to the majors
Yeah I don't even see it as a problem. He doesn't even seem to need any coaching.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2026 2:13 pmOK, he's saying basically he's ready. And the deal is that's where their coaching is, at AA. That could be more significant than trying to find better competition. Though on the other hand he's closer to Seattle if he's in Tacoma, those coaches. It's an interesting problem to have
