So I put a few quid on Tom Hoge - if he finishes top 10 I win 606 GBP / 800 USD

Today he's had 6 birdies, 1 bogey and 2 x Doubles

He's -1 and T25 with 6 to play.

Gambling.....when the fun stops, STOP !
Serves ya right, ya low-down good-fer-nothin' bezuidenhout! I thought i had a win, but I had Hadwin instead.

Just kidding. Great job overall Mike - I appreciate the time and effort you put into this.

Phew - thought I was in for a ticking off.

My fault for trying to be clever - don't worry about integrity of previous contests, I usually do the checks that Xpert kindly did. But the only checking I am doing time is early checking out of the hotel after Friday's round.

Hoge isn't listed as an ALT in your OP. Sigh
According to the font of all knowledge (Wikipedia)

"Tom Hoge replaced Jake Knapp." as second alternate. Sometimes this ends up being the kind of thing that creates the story of the winner.

Tom Hoge is currently 500/1 (+50000) to win. I will have £1 each-way.

Go Hoge.....

His bogies on 14 and 17 probably cost me the contest.......although Matsuyama just had 2 bogies in a row, so I'm back in it

My boys totally fell off the face of the earth.
Oh, wah, wah :P . You are +6. Yeah, you suck!
I'm +11. +11. My golfers did this to me on purpose. Bitches...
So, my best 3 finally showed up to go -8 today. They are all back in the clubhouse, done. I finished +3.
With a bit of luck and the failure of a couple of my competitors, there's a chance I could finish all alone in 3rd place.
May you find the water and snake-infested roughs, the sand be quick sand and the holes be capped!

Mike, extraordinary effort and execution of this contest. Much appreciated. You're the best......except for being cut, of course :D

I have a 4 stroke lead on you and my Boys are in the Clubhouse getting drunk as well so its going to be tough to catch me. Happy with the Bronze medal given how I started.

Right you are. TLO dropped to +4. If Sibelius finishes +3, we'll be tied for fourth. If one of his dudes takes him to +2, I'll be in 5th.
Congrats on your Bronzeness!

So it comes down to this

-7 baller ( F )
-6 XpertDBA (4 to play)

So Alex Smalley decides the destination of our Wannabe Trophy

If Smalley stays -4 or worse - baller wins the title outright.
If Smalley finishes -5 we will have a Dead Heat. Even after checking the 2nd and 3rd scoring player tiebreakers, the teams remain inseparable.
If Smalley finishes -6 or better - Xpert takes the title.

Note on Tiebreakers: For future events, I'll look at adding "Most Weekend Qualifiers" as a final tiebreaker (which would have favored/favoured baller today). However, for this tournament, if Smalley hits -5, we will officially declare it a tie!

And it could be England's first PGA winner since 1919 - if only I could follow his example and win one of these bloody things.

Followed by a three-putt bogey on 17. We have a tie.

DOUBLE WOW!

Great putt for Smalley on 18 - does he realise that he's just handed Xpert DBA his first major?

CONGRATULATIONS, something similar happened with Sam Burns at the Masters to deny you. Now you are the CHAMP.

Well played. And baller, you know your golf - unlucky this time but many more majors I'm sure in future.
