Mariner position players who were allowed to suck for at least three seasons

Watching Mitch Garver suck for the third straight season in a Mariner uniform for no reason whatsoever made me think, how many position players in franchise history have we trotted out there regularly for at least three seasons for no reason whatsoever?

Here are the players who played at least three seasons with the Mariners, got a lot of playing time, and ended up with negative bWAR. Garver is presently in his third season and has put up 0.0 WAR.

Joe Simpson: 4 seasons, -0.4 WAR
Dan Meyer: 5 seasons, -2.1 WAR
(this one's surprising as Meyer could hit, but his defense was beyond terrible and in 1978 he had the worst season ever for a Mariner position player)
Larry Milbourne: 5 seasons, -0.6 WAR
Darnell Coles: 6 seasons, -1.4 WAR
Johnny Moses: 6 seasons, -2.9 WAR
Scott Bradley: 7 seasons, -0.9 WAR
Pete O'Brien: 4 seasons, -0.7 WAR
Miguel Olivo: 4 seasons, -0.3 WAR
Chone Figgins: 3 seasons, -0.9 WAR

Also of note:
Mario Mendoza: 2 seasons, -2.3 WAR

Just missing the cut:
Russ Davis: 4 seasons, 0.1 WAR
Jared Kelenic: 3 seasons, 0.2 WAR

I started looking up our pitchers too, but pitchers unlike players almost never are allowed to suck for three years.

Even as I kid I knew how bad Moses and Simpson were, the were the exact same player who didn't hit much, could run a little, and had no pop.

As for Figgins, he was coming off arguably his best season, he's just one of those guys who put on the Mariner uniform and inexplicably turned into ass.

Jack Perconte actually was right there with him in slugging percentage, in the .340 range. I liked him. He had a couple good years with us, then Harold Reynolds came up and Perconte was out of baseball two years later.

I'm doing fine David, spent 4 years in Portugal, Madeira actually.... but I'm getting older. I'll be 80 after the trade deadline You must be nearly sixty.... still playing ball? I'm still following baseball from Seattle like I did since I was a kid watching the Seattle Rainiers. In 1951 we won the PCL championship... our manager was Rogers Hornsby. he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1942. he was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1942. By 1951, he was managing in the minors after a long MLB career.
This was his only year managing the Rainiers. He replaced Paul Richards (who left for the Chicago White Sox) and led the team to their first PCL title since 1942. Key contributions included acquiring outfielder Jumping Jim Rivera, who had a standout season in 1951. I was 6 years old. There were life size black and white photos of the ball players in the corridors of Sick's Stadium where you walked to find your way to the field and your seat. In 1955 Seattle's own pitching star, Freddie Hutchinson managed the Seattle Rainiers to another PCL championship. I was ten years old, went to about twenty games and I was hooked. I got autographs in those early years from home town players like Vada Pinson, Claude Osteen and Dick Radatz and from other teams like Willie McCovey, later the Alou brothers. It's all awesome. Anyway, sure I remember you! We had some really nice parties at Darren's house in Kirkland, didn't we? If we do get into the World Series before I die, I'll try to come back to Seattle to celebrate with Darren, Jay, Rocky, and the rest of the long time forum fans.
