To Tong or not to Tong~show me the Wisdom~G.T.~6.2.26

Post by rockycola » Tue Jun 02, 2026 11:27 pm

ESPN says Jonah "King" Tong is the Mets starting pitcher this evening. MLB says TBD. I guess we'll find out by or at first pitch at 6:40.
Meanwhile, back at the ranch, we have .133 \ .133 \ .200 \ .333 playing as First Sacker. Please tell me the Wisdom of that.
Logan Gilbert, shut down the Mets, keep them off base, don't walk anybody.

Seems Robles in RF and Luke at 1B would be the way to go but they must really love Wisdom....

I think you should be the Mariner manager, Darren.
You'd know how to put an unbeatable lineup that would give TBD fits!

Yes, I agree and the bottom third of our lineup looks pretty weak today....

Having Wisdom in the lineup seems like baseball malpractice to me. Prove me wrong, Buddy!

Wisdom over Robles is a joke. Wisdom is trash. Naylor off the bench so good sign. Just needs a day.

He has 12 Rainier HR's this year & 1.178 OPS.....wishing on a Wisdom prayer. Hasn't translated to here yet.
Tacoma has a 27 y.o. 1Bman also in AAA by the name of Carson Taylor, who's a backup 3B and emergency catcher. He's much less of a slugger but 2026 OBP is .386 for Taylor; .389 for Wisdom. Taylor is a lefty bat. Just another rookie hoping for a chance.

A spike in Logan velo is a fun site. Seems with the added speed he's not missing so badly arm side anymore either.

And Julio swings at Ball 4 an inch off the ground. Every time hit gets his OPS near .800 his brain melts...

Julio's flaw is the froggy brain. Logan's flaw is his constant effort for strikeouts when he has no out pitch.....
