Its not that they throw the fastball its the situation. 1st pitch get a lead strike then 2 strike up above the letters or off thr plate you have to hit your spot with that pitch.

Woo can't give up 7 earned runs. He's had a few of these games this season. It's pretty straightforward what's happening. He's pounding fastballs in the zone and guys are sitting on them and hitting them. These are major league hitters and that's what they do.

5 out of 9 starts where he gave up more than 4 runs. 3 starts with 0 runs. He needs to get his shit together when things get tough. Seems to me that he doesn't posses that capability.

This team doesn't have an Ace. As good as the Pitching is? Tell me one guy that when he jogs out there the first inning you feel really confident he won't just shit his pants? Not one Alpha on that staff. Not one that seems to just want the ball so they can own the game. A bunch of sissies looking to get five innings in and turn it over to a depleted bullpen. Oh yea, and a light bullpen since we need six starters.

Flawed team, and Woo, IMO? Has been a colossal disappointment this year. I hate watching him pitch almost as much as I hate watching Gilbert. Two guys that seem to have ZERO ability to wiggle out of trouble, and might not even have the desire to get out of their own trouble.

The stuff is elite... but when hitters can guess what's coming it's not going to go well for any pitcher. Woo is too fastball happy... he's got to do some reverse pitching at times to keep hitters honest.
