It's hard to watch Dan suffer so much in the dugout. God this is bad!!
Might as well finish out this road trip in Tampa.... Unless the M's sweep Tampa Bay, We should relieve Dan of his duties when we return.

This team can’t win the division much less the World Series.

Pathetic.

Just had a thought about JP, if he's the second-best shortstop in franchise history, the drop-off from the best (A-Rod) to him is probably the largest at any position in any MLB franchise's history. Can anyone come up with one that's even close?

#1: Edgar Martinez — 68.4 WAR total (significant early career at 3B before DH)
#2: Kyle Seager — ~37 WAR (longtime 3B staple)
Gap: ~31 WAR. Edgar's bat + longevity crushes it; Seager was very good but not close.

#1: Ken Griffey Jr. — 70.6 WAR (iconic prime with SEA)
#2: Likely Mike Cameron or Julio Rodríguez (emerging, ~25 WAR so far) — well behind.
Gap: 40+ WAR. Griffey is in a stratosphere of his own.

#1: Ichiro Suzuki — 56.4 WAR (dominant)
#2: Jay Buhner or others (~23 WAR range)
Gap: ~33+ WAR. Ichiro's consistency and volume stand out.

Those are three biggest

Omar Visquel, Carlos Guillen, Luis Sojo, Jean Seguera all were gamers.
Ketel Marte only played here 2 years and a lot was at 2nd.
Brad Miller, Yuniesky Betancourt, Todd Cruz, Rey Quinines.

Most hated? Rich Aurilia.

I really like Spike, maybe because he was called Spike.

Good call, Terry.

My list I was just naming some of the M's past SS's, not going for gaps in WAR.

Have the Mariners ever had a leftfielder to boast about?

Seattle Cadavers lost again.
Can't say Seattle sucks because Cadavers don't suck.....they rot.

Got 6 walks; didn't amount to much.

Time to put Rucker out in the dumpster.

Emerson is performing about as expected.
In Ackley‘s first season up, he had over 300 at bats, hitting over .270 with seven triples, was hitting hard liners all over the place.
