Honestly im not following them closely enough these days to have much of an opinion. Maybe my jumping off the band wagon can be the spark to get them going. I do think for as much attention refsnyder gets its not a key to the issue. Hes a bench player with a 100 at bats. Hes cost them a win. I get back to what i originally complained about, sloppy baseball. I listened to the Passan item bpjs post referred to. That waa the first thing brought up, the sloppy baseball. Whos to blame, what to do about it i dont know but its hard for me to get past that
They are 28th in baseball vs left handed pitching. He is one of the main catalysts for why this team has struggled so bad vs the dexterity.

-1.1 bWAR in just over 100 plate appearances is criminal. His career high is just over 300... he'd put up over -3 bWAR at this pace in half the AB's of a standard player.

That is on pace for some of the worst production in MLB history.
Yeah, they are 28th against left handed pitchers. Give Refsnyder a decent 100 plate appearances, how much does that move the needle? Seriously, how many spots can you move them up?
Most of his PAs have come at leadoff or 5th which is also criminal. He should have put up 1 WAR by now so that is losing two wins AND he is still on the roster. Obviously he isn't the only problem but once again they stick with a POS to save face. Agree the sloppy play is disgusting.

Rivas is another one. Went from a cool little gutsy piece at the plate to complete and utter trash.

Not to mention the mentals. Imagine being a competitor and looking at the lineup and you see Refsnyder penciled in.

On what planet does that fill anyone with a competitive pulse with confidence?
