Here is a weird Idea for a RH bat that has not been mentioned in any trade talks that I have ever seen, but is a player who hits decently in T-Mobile and great everywhere else. Listen, I didn't want them to re-sign Naylor... but pretending France had a future with this org is hilarious.

He put up a .670 OPS in '24, a .681 OPS in '25.

Naylor has sucked this year but prior to '26, he' put up 4 consecutive seasons of .770 OPS hitting. And was about an .810 OPS hitter over that time.

Totally agree with SoB on this, France is just going through one of those '80s slasher-killer-gives-one-more-jump-scare-before-someone-buries-an-axe-in -his-head stage of his career. His OPS the last three seasons has been well under .700 despite playing for teams with hitters' parks.

He got sporadic playing time and bounced between teams. Once he was allowed to get back into a rhythm he has been fine. He is also a Gold Glover and currently rating the best defensive first baseman in baseball.
