I don't know if it's a question of risk but the mariners have shown a lack of interest in using the qualifying offer on a player they aren't interested in keeping. Case in point Teo Hernandez. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't qualify him

I agree with you, but neither of us are the ones making the decision, and this is an organization that is very risk averse.

There is risk averse as into not wanting any of your retirement funds in the stock market and there is being idiotic as in keeping all of your funds in your mattress. Not given Randy a QO would be the latter...
