So, they are calling quicker developing plays, and Russ says "fuck it, I'm doing whatever I want"? That is your theory?

Sometimes. If you are getting pressure on half your dropbacks can you blame him? Not a theory .. a fact. He literally scrambles into sacks and out of a clean pocket some plays. What exactly do you think is occurring second half of these games? When they are saying "Let Russ Cook" what do you think they are talking about?

Scramble drill... improvisation. WR breaking off their routes.
I have a little news flash for you . Mahomes does the same thing. Which is comical when you say Hawks offense is different than the Chiefs. They're doing the same Fing thing.

Difference is Wilson had a shitty Oline and his 3rd and 4th option isn't as good as Mahomes. Hawks are too reliant on the run game and PA off of it for Pass Pro.

The 41.6% pressure rate must be cut in half ( at least) and Hollister shouldn't be his 3rd option on a pass attempt. Teams can defend that. Sammy Watkins is Mahomes 4th option. On a pass play his typical read is Hill, Kelce, Williams and then if he has to Watkins .

Before injuries Wilson's progression was Lockett ,DK , Gordon, Moore/Turner then Hollister. Before the Dissly injury it was Lockett, DK, Dissly, Vannett, Brown, Moore/Turner. The ball was coming out quick Pittsburgh game . After injuries and suspension it went to Lockett, DK, Hollister with no running game. .

It is always personnel. You can only scheme so much. Upgrade his line and give him better receiving options and that offense will be as explosive as any team. You are blaming everything on the scheme when that is not the case.

So I ask again, if it is all personnel, why not just pay your coach peanuts and over pay for the best GM?

And I'm not being a dick, being serious.

they have a good GM, as well as a good coach, but that doesn't mean all the issues get solved. Again wasn't the issue a little while ago how RW's contract was going mire them in mediocrity? Funny how that doesn't come up any longer. Sure there are questions about PC making adjustments to their offense but that doesn't mean the whole thing is a mess. Yeah, RW came out about it, but one might believe he has confidence in PCJS. Honestly, Michael, you are like the most extreme glass half empty guy around. Yeah, there are questions about how the offense could be adjusted to make the Hawks a truly formable SB caliber team. That is a heck of a lot better position to be in than a lot of other teams around the league. How many other teams, coaches, or GMs would you trade ours for? Maybe a few but not that many of any of them i bet.

You could. But someone has to develop and manage that personnel.

Then, it isn’t all personnel. As a matter of fact, if the coach doesn’t utilize the personnel he does more harm then good. Not saying that is Pete, but I often times watch first halves and wonder WTF they did all week! Seriously...think back to the NFCCG against the Packers. Green Bay had exhibited zero ability to stop the run, and we didn’t even try to run it in the first half. Too busy being cute. I would say the same thing about this playoff game against Green Bay. Brutal game plan. One coach doing all he can to get the ball to his weapons and the other one force feeding Hollister and Lynch.

Did I say we were amongst the worst in the NFL? Sorry if with this QB I expect more than 2 and 4 down the stretch. People don’t say the Packers are amongst the worst, but McCarthy was looking for a job because Rodgers only has one ring.

think maybe it had something to do with two losing seasons in a row when they were favored to win the north

You can think all you want. How much talk was around Rodgers and only one ring?

I love how the guy who expects more than WC wins over shit competition and a first half ass kicking in the second round is considered glass half full. I expect them to win, and somehow that is a bad thing.

They were 10 and 2 and had the 1 seed. Why don’t you go check out who they played after? Thank god the Eagles and Panthers sucked. Not sure how watching is suck for over a month and finding fault in that is a bad thing. But, I guess somehow that is all on the players. 10 and 2, praise Pete. Nose dive to finish? Those damn players suck.

no idea how much there was, i think it was having two losing seasons in a row when they were hoping for another ring that actually did it. John Madden had more wins than any other coach in NFL history and he only has a single ring to show for it. Sure the Oakland fans would have liked more SB wins, where they talking about canning him? I would have liked the Hawks to have had another win or two, but i am not going to spend the entire off season bitching about it. Yeah, i am a glass half full type i guess, i hate to say it but i got a kick out of the season. I was pretty happy with it, lots of excitement, made the playoffs, and i am looking forward to next season.
