What's the longest home run you've ever witnessed in person

For me it's this one that Junior hit at Angel Stadium in 1997: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GtQG680YOfQ. I was sitting in the fifth row about halfway down the left field line. It came off Junior's bat like a cannon shot and the Angel fans all just went OOOOOOHHHHHH...

Unfortunately, the cameraman was like one of those lurching drunks who worked ballgames back in the early days who could never follow the ball. It landed above the tarp and bounced out of the stadium.

Hopefully we can locate video of the ones you guys witnessed. I'm guessing there won't be for the old-timers who back in Nineteen-Dickety saw Mickey Mantle hit one six hundred-dickety feet.

I watched Ohtani hitting batting practice at Coors Field and 80% of the balls he hit were up into the 3rd deck (right-center) toward the back by the restaurant at the top of that level. Everyone witnessing it was just in awe and when he got done, every single fan stood up and gave him a standing ovation. I've never seen that before, and those are the longest home runs I've ever seen and it's not even close.

I've seen Aaron Judge take BP a few times before games in Seattle and Anaheim and he doesn't do anything like that, the farthest balls he hits go about 425. A total bummer, but I guess he just works on solid contact.

with that said Seth and I witnessed Julio Rodrgiuez hit a 433 foot bomb to left.

That was pretty cool.

I can’t actually tell you what the longest tape measure homer I’ve seen is - I actually don’t remember. Hazards of senescence, I guess.

The one I really remember and vividly didn't really leave the field. The Sarge, Gary Mathews hit one that hit off the facade of the upper deck in the Kingdome. It was a line drive. Id never seen a ball hit as hard as that. I've searched it on the internet, some evidence. Maybe I miss remembered it. Man, he got all of it

You go to games at Yankee Stadium and 433 is your farthest? That is VERY surprising with Judge and Stanton there the last several years.

He was the first Mariner ever to hit one into the upper deck in left field there. I caught the game on radio.
