Ward hit 37 last year, so he may have just had a bad season and could be at that level again. And with the pending lockout and possibility of salary restrictions, I can see them waiting to sign Randy....just remember he is 4.0 WAR player for each of the last 3 seasons in our ballpark ... you and others complain constantly about young players not being great immediately. Look at how Laz has struggled when he gets to a new level, he will struggle a lot, like his 1st 800-1000 AB's, in the beginning of his ML career. Meaning no disrespect, but when they were handing out patience, you said, " I am not sick, where are the hot blondes?" Bringing essentially 3 rookies onto the team, Colt will have more exp, is going to be tough on the fans....unless they talk to Seth first, and he will lower their expectations in less than 2 minutes.

If Ward or Randy are on the team next season I will drive across the mountains and buy you dinner and drinks and or beer. Limit $1000.

Sure but they will just bring in bargain bin stop gaps on one year deals. I guess Ward would qualify for that. Depends how he does the rest of the season. Not a good start....Now a down to a .523 OPS at T Mobile.

Maybe we should have called him up instead of trading for Taylor Ward. At the very least we should have called him up instead of that Stuart Fairchild. For all the good that scrub is going to do we might as well have called up Morgan Fairchild.

Full disclosure, he was probably called up too early. He put up 9.4 WAR the next year and won a batting title and lead the league in total bases.

I'm not holding my breath that we have two guys in the minors right now that are going to come up next year and save this fucking sinking franchise.

Regardless, its too late now. I like the idea of Arroyo and Montes both being called up. At least if there's an injury, you've got depth in the minors in pitching and hitting ready to go.

I happen to like Taylor Ward. Do I think he's the missing piece to getting us over the hump, no I do not. We honestly already have those pieces on this team. Getting Julio, Cal, and Naylor going is a must, or this squad ain't doing jack in the Post season, if there even is one.

Tonight's game against Detroit was a little salty. Its exactly what this team needed. Who cares if nobody likes us, Fuck'em.

I'd be all for a youth movement. Stop giving the extra spots to the bottom of the free agent market. Just bring up your good kids.

I gave up on this year when I canceled marinertv after the first month.

Would much prefer to see Laz Montes, Boston Smith, Luke Stephenson, Arroyo, etc. than seeing what we can get from JP Crawfords and Refsnyders they typically like to bring in.

I'd have almost everyone on the current roster on the trade block. Who would you guys keep as the foundation and who do you trade?
