I would think his contract runs through next season so why would they???Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 7:51 amWhats interesting is they havent extended him. Does he get an extension over the off season? Seems unlikely the way things are going. And theres the U of Minnesota, sounds like a perfect fit to me.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:22 amWhy Mariners are unlikely to fire Dan Wilson despite disappointing seasonSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 2:12 am3 hits, 1 run...
That's 5 runs the last 5 games.
And Dan is still the manager why?

Yeah, i must have misread the part about servais being in the last year
Re: The Manny Acta Era begins Game thread
Season was close to being over in 2024 when he was hired so really it would have just been a 2 year deal if it expires at the end of this season. Possible but I would think a 3 year deal.
btw How ridiculous is it that every detail of player contracts are ALWAYS reported but FO and manager contracts are always a big secret like they are above that.

Thats a recent policy isnt it? Thats how we knew servais was in his last year. I think in terms of the players its part of the labor agreement?
Re: The Manny Acta Era begins Game thread
Almost never know how much managers or FO people make...not sure about the labor agreement deal. Would seem to be a weird thing to include.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 4:24 pmThats a recent policy isnt it? Thats how we knew servais was in his last year. Yeah if I recall correctly Scott was fired August 23, 2024 after that 1-8 road trip. That left about 35-40 games left in the season. About how many there are left this year. I like Dan, but I am shocked he is still allowed to manage this team.D-train wrote: ↑Wed Aug 12, 2026 3:42 pmSeason was close to being over in 2024 when he was hired so really it would have just been a 2 year deal if it expires at the end of this season.
