I just got bit by a praying mantis, geez. Not really a bite i guess, a pinch, it hurt! It was big! It was in my bookcase. About three weeks ago i got bit by something, probably a spider, had an alergic reaction so im freaked out by this stuff lately. I guess its rare

Ive pointed this out before, no dipoto isnt looking up stats on the internet. Thats because mlb front offices have much more sophisticated ways to analyse players these days than things like home and away splits. With Statcast and AI they can now create entire seasons of a players performance at bat by at bat and apply them to the conditions of any baseball stadium. Thats what they are doing, they arent looking up fangraph splits. The tools have moved way beyond that

Sure, maybe they should. But its not just a mariner thing. I think you walk into any FO these days and bring up fangraph splits and youd get a cool stare. Its an arms race like anything else.
