Because we have room doesn't mean they should sign stupid ass deals that cripple us later. I am sure that JS and PC are just as concerned with the future cap implications as 57reasons is.57reasons wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 6:34 amwhat can I say, I'm an accountant. seriously, just want to add as many good pieces as possible. Another possible target: Connor McGovern, standout C/G from Denver, age 27. Could play G for one year in place of either the chronically hurt Iupati/Fluker, then upgrade Britt when he walks in FA (not worth another veteran contract). Not a huge priority given the depth of good Centers in the draft, but it frees up the pick to address another position. And solidifying the middle against the likes of Donald and Buckner 4 times a year - Russell wouldnt know what to do with himself!HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Thu Feb 06, 2020 6:17 am
We have 70 mill to play with & your worried about someone being too steep.

Re: NFL free agents
Paul Richardson is being released. s he the answer? or do the Hawks need more firepower? There's something going on with Stefon Diggs and Wilson and AJ Green is an UFA .
Diggs would cost pick(s) and $$ Green a boatload of $$$

Re: NFL free agents
so much depends on the head space of the players - who is in the better frame of mind to subvert their ego in Pete's run-heavy offense in favor of making a title run in the back end of their careers. Both great talents, Green in particular, and would be good fits with Russ' long ball proficiency, and neither has sniffed the SB, so that might be in our favor. with Green at age 32 having already made bank as a former #4 pick already, i'm sayin' there's at least a chance he doesnt just chase top dollar. If their heads are right, I'd rather sign one-year deals to Olsen at $5M and Green at $9-10M than Hooper who i would guess will command about the same figure combined.
Re: NFL free agents
Green and Diggs are going to cost you the 14 -15 million range. Hooper or Hunter is going to come under that. I don't see the need to sign a TE if you pick up Olsen. Part of me would rather see them pick up a stud TE. Eifert might become available too.57reasons wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 5:49 pm

Irregardless you still need to draft one at this point. I'd go all in on Henry or Hooper. Why the obsession with Olsen. No on a WR. Why the obsession with a WR.
Re: NFL free agents
I agree Henry or Hooper would be idea. I am not obsessed with a wide receiver.nor Olsen . Alot of people think Hawks need another wideout which is perplexing since they have a perfect duo in Lockett and DK ( prototype) . I think Wilson is pushing for the Olsen signing.HawkandMariner88 wrote: ↑Sat Feb 15, 2020 11:57 pmIrregardless you still need to draft one at this point. I'd go all in on Henry or Hooper. Does he want a MASH unit at TE seriously. Been looking at prospects there are a few that stand out.ThePro wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 3:44 pmI agree Henry or Hooper would be idea. -Cheyenne O'Grady ; Arkansas

Seems the best bet is to wait till day 2 or even day 3. Kelce was day 2 & Kittle was day 3 so no telling we could find talent there at some point. Just don't trust what we have at the moment.
