9.3.2023 GT: 3rd Time is the Charm for Kade

Kade Anderson makes his third start of the season. He has shown some long-term promise with a 1.60 K/BB ratio across his prior starts. I am guessing the “pitch-whisperers”, Dan Wilson and company, will continue to limit his pitch count so the bullpen will get in the game as soon as possible.

The A’ssssss will counter with right-hander, Jack Perkins. It’s been a challenge for Jack with a 6.42 ERA. He’s struggled with command and likes to have traffic on the bases with a 1.49 WHIP, meaning he’s likely to set his career best in K’s (had 9 Ks vs the tigers in August) while the bases stay relatively clean.

With many within the A’ssssss organization already working on their offseason travel plans, it would behoove the Mariners to get going early to keep the other dugout from showing interest in the game. Alas, expect the Mariners to try to sleepwalk through this one.

It looks like this game is blacked out in Fresno and that sucks. I pay for MLB and Milb games for the entire year and now I get blacked out of games in Frisco and Sacramento, probably next year in Vegas....and sometimes get blocked for the Padres and Dodgers and there's also APPLE TV every once in a while. It's getting to be a ripoff.
