Did the Rams not conduct a physical on him prior to the trade? Their fans have to be pissed...
Re: Garrett to have knee surgery
I'd rather he just experienced age related mediocrity and didn't live up to expectations. But I do look forward to the panicky cliche douche bag interviews with McVay.

It's a little strange, seems to be post trade but it's not really being described as a particular injury. He just looked terrible, and they wait until a game to realize how bad it is? The Rams seem to be making some strange decisions. The trip to Australia was a mess.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sun Sep 13, 2026 4:53 pmDid the Rams not conduct a physical on him prior to the trade? Three things stuck out to me. How bad Garrett looked. Stafford suddenly looking old. And I wonder about their DC. All the added talent and the defense didn't look sharp at all
Garrett missed most of training camp with what Rams coach Sean McVay called swelling in Garrett's knee. After the Week 1 game in Melbourne, Australia, Garrett declined to say which knee is injured, but he wore a sleeve on his left leg during several practices

Amazing how when there is so much hype it never lives up to it and often implodes in stunning fashion....

This is interesting- My wife is a rheumatologist and gave me the run down on a how a physical exam goes with knees on kids and adults and how an adult can "hide" pain/symptoms/issues - Seems like problems in this situation would not present themselves in an MRI/CT

I wouldn't call it an implosion quite yet. He could be back healthy by week 6 although it's likely he'll be out longer. But the Rams should be able to beat most teams without him.

The Rams were the preseason favorite to win it all at +500. Over the past 30 years, the preseason favorite with +500 odds or better has never won the Super Bowl, going 0-for-20.

Yeah, a little quick to declare the season decided. And there were caveats, health and age. The Seahawks could be without Darnold for a number of weeks. The one thing the seahawks aren't facing is age issuesSibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2026 2:33 pmI wouldn't call it an implosion quite yet.
