Poll: Walker or Shaheed

Do you now wish that Walker could have been re-signed even if it meant losing Shaheed?

The first thing to understand is he was never signing with the seahawks again because he wasn't getting the opportunity to run for 171 yards here to begin with. That's what this really turned on. His dissatisfaction with how he was being used. The other thing to consider is the comp isn't Rasheed, it's Price his replacement. Personally I am quite content with price replacing walker
I don't believe that for a second. The dude was literally trying to negotiate with Schneider during the Superbowl parade. If the Hawks would have made the same offer that Kansas city did, he would be here today.
That's what i had assumed, but DB keeps telling me there were no discussions and that Walker had decided he was leaving once the season ended. Whatever the case, the purpose of the poll was to gage how much people would have liked to see him get an extension and remain here. I brought Shaheed up in the scenario because he was an FA as well and received a similar contract to what Seattle likely would've had to give Walker.

That being said I think they made the right move in letting him walk. There is zero chance that Walker makes it through his contract healthy. I think Price will be the more productive player over the next 4 seasons.
I don't entirely disagree although i think Walker has been playing at an elite level that Price will not match for at least a year if ever, and they will probably need that to get back to the SB.

Yeah I agree with that just don't get the huge Shaheed contract relative to his projection last season with us. And his first game was a joke in terms of production. He could be the Refsnyder of the Hawks if he doesn't pick it up. For almost 10x the money...

Including Playoffs Walker played in 63 of 73 games. Not exactly made of glass. Played in all 20 games last season.

We have had guys like Penny, Prosythe and Dee Eskridge on the this team. Seems a bit odd to put Walker in the non durable category.

I'm wondering how bad would one have to be to be the Refsnyder of the Seahawks, like maybe muff about ten punts?

lol well he has 16 receptions in 10 games with us so far. The returns for TDs are great but can't count on those every season.

JSN had 17 receptions in Back to back games 3 times last season.

Walker on when he decided he wasn't going to play in Seattle any longer. The guy didn't want to play for the seahawks, all this angst over a guy that didn't want to play there
"If I'm being honest, probably sometime during the season," Walker told Florio. "Things didn't work out how I was expecting them to, and that's alright. It worked out for the team. But yeah, sometime during the season. And then we get to free agency, and you're pretty much knowing you weren't going to be there."

Walker did not want to play in Seattle, 100%. It wasn't about offers or promising him more carries, he didn't want to be there. Why be concerned about a guy that didn't want to be a seahawk? I honestly don't get it. We just endured a nightmare of a baseball season. Now we have the world champion seahawks to enjoy, we have the a coach on an 11 game winning streak, the youngest coach to do that. We have a great young team, a great young RB that wants to be here. You guys crying in your beer over a guy that didnt want to be a seahawk lol

Look at what he says, it worked out for the team but not for him. The team and him were two separate entities. I don't want to criticize him because he did his job, what he was asked to do without being a distraction. But walker wasn't a seahawk, he says it there

I am questioning why they signed Shaheed making him the 33rd highest paid WR in the league after he had 1.5 receptions per game. Price over Walker is good outcome.

LOVE Price but this has nothing to do with him. Could have Walker AND price right now instead of Shaheed
Yeah, it wasn't about walker or Shaheed. It also wasn't about ways to have kept walker. Walker didn't want to be a Seahawk, hard stop
