I tend to favor a simpler, more straightforward explanations. I expect that the shift in favorably (now significantly unfavorable) among Americans toward Israel is mostly driven by what I wrote. But I think you are saying that Americans are "waking up" to the "synagogue of Satan" disease diagnosis, is that it?

What if new leadership is elected in Israel, and we get less influence by the religious right. Policies shift toward serious talks about a Palestinian state, reigning in the rogue West Bank settlers, and moving toward lasting peace (built on the Abraham accords) with countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt. If that were to happen (and I am NOT confident it will), don't you think there would be an upswing in favorability?
