They still need a WR2.
Josh Downs, Brian Thomas Jr. Only names I've heard mentioned. Still would prefer edge personally. DT where you at my guy.

Outstanding trade. King 5 was saying Nelson has never given up a sack in 8 years in the NFL. Let that sink in!
Also only missed 4 games in 8 years. <insert Roscoe P Coaltrain laugh here>.

I posted this in another thread, but it really grabbed me.

"When Nelson gets on the field, he's mean. There are countless social media clips of him destroying some unsuspecting defender. At the combine he calmly described himself as a nasty player and said his goal for his opponents was to 'take their will away to play the game'."
OKay. I got wood a little bit there.
Me too. I might have to call my doctor at the 4 hour mark.

OK guys I need to know. With 9ers adding Buckner where do Hawks go to add another edge? I need names. You already know where I'm at. I've already heard 1 no on Mack.
Not worried about the Niners. The substation has just begun to activate.😎😂

Okay, Hawk blogger who I've taken a liking to is having the same issues. Like he says, when the opportunity to get the best player at a position comes up you take it. That's why I don't think ii was about being particularly unhappy with anybody.. He says, even though he likes Sundell it's moving Zundel to center. So there you go Aurora.

You realize that if they don't re-sign Nelson and he leaves in FA the seahawks receive a compensation pick, probably a 3rd round one. They practically get him for free

This could be huge. This is fantastic pick up! So glad they did not leverage the future for an RB. Line play more essential to success than splash moves, although this is kinda splashy - but this looks like a excellent value addition. Wow. Huge, jerry, HUGE. Classic JS move.
What's crazy is they didn't leverage the future at all. This is a fucking 8 time Pro Bowler that plays a position of need for us! I was absolutely blown away. I wanted this guy out of college....yesterday was an absolute bombshell for me. Yes, I know the 49ers got Buckner, but this is a bigger move for us, IMO.

The news of Cross having a high ankle sucks, and I am really curious to find out what they do with the fact that I think we have three Guards that can help us and Center is the weak link. But my GOD. This is huge.

I don't know if i'd call a 3rd and 5th pennies for a rental. If they can extend of re-sign him then definitely a good deal. They must not have been happy with Zabel''s lack of improvent this year.
Zero chance he doesn't get resigned. That would be a JS priority- obviously. He's not an idiot. Probably already in talks with the agent to gauge cost. I can see something like a four year extension for 65/75 heavy on bonuses to keep it cap friendly. Yeah, they got him on the cheap. Remember that we have a lot of draft capitol this year. There is a good chance we lose bradford to someone like the jets who will make him the highest paid lineman in the league

Do you really think JS isn't playing the long game here? This is a great move. Like when we picked up shaheed last year and he turned out to be invaluable to the SB run. It was a game changer. This could be too.
That was my first thought. JS didn't make this move unless it seemed very likely they could work out a deal down the road.
