Props to Grubauer and Daccord for being really good the first month. I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop with Grubauer, as I've never really liked him. He won awards with the Avalance because they had one of the best defensive teams in front of him that I can remember.
Apparently so. here are Gru's career stats: https://www.hockey-reference.com/player ... aph01.html amazing how he went from being a Vezina candidate to one of the worst goalies in the league INSTANTLY. That GSAA stat is the one that's the most telling. Thankfully he's picked himself up the last couple seasons to where he's at least now above-average.

Haha McCann out for 10 weeks. I knew the good times wouldn't last with this cursed franchise.

May not be that bad a thing, guys will move up a line, like Catton who's off to a nice start.

So for the fourth time already the Kraken blow a multiple-goal lead in the third period...and for the fourth time they end up with two points. Makes for some exciting hockey but I'm not so sure about their Pete Carroll approach to prevent defense.

Fun team to watch, and they managed without McCann tonight.

They just keep surprising me. Those goals late though, are giving me heartburn.

What kind of moronic coach doesnt just his team continue to forecheck like they've done all night and try to get a putaway goal when it gets to the 3rd period. I hate that kind of sit on your hands and pray mentality. It's so dumb.

Beaten down by the lowly Flames 6-2. Grubauer allowing 4 goals on just 14 attempts before getting pulled.

Looks like the Kraken are back...

Well they traded Shane Wright to Nashville for Mattthew Wood.

I don't know what to make of this, whether Wright was just badly overrated or if the Kraken stunted his development by giving Stephenson that awful contract. Wright has been skating on Catton's line yet only has three goals and a secondary assist so it's probably more the former.

As good of a start as the team is off to, the goaltending is really becoming a problem. Grubauer with a lowly save percentage of .886 and Daccord even worse at .880. They're not playing particularly good defense either but that save percentage is still lousy, they're obviously not making the more challenging saves.

If an average goaltender is at about .910, over 30 shots that's about a one-goal difference which is a lot.
