I watched parts of a couple episodes. Basically it alternates between long dry boring absurdly serious dialogue between two characters followed by a ridiculous battle scene which almost always involves the dragons burning a platoon of warriors to a crisp. Not my idea of entertainment. Call me crazy.

It's a crazy good show - one of the best of all time. Your ADD and the lack of ability to watch a 80 minute show without checking a M's forum is probably why you can't get into it. Unplug, try again - it's an effing amazing show.D-train wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 3:10 amI watched parts of a couple episodes. LOL Guilty as charged. I obviously need to start from the beginning to give it a fair shake.WoodinvilleCoug wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 4:46 amIt's a crazy good show - one of the best of all time. Agreed. Best drama of all time. No question about it. It ain't drawing 40m views on HBO no less for no reasonWoodinvilleCoug wrote: ↑Thu May 23, 2019 4:46 am

The best players in the game? You take all the MVP's from every team last season and only one was a top 3 pick. Tally it up and only six were picked in the first round pick. I don't mind getting a top 3 pick but its not some magic pill to cure our ailments.
Re: .442*
.442 right now with 7 teams ahead of us and 3 teams with -in % points of the M's # 8 spot. Reds are 1/2 game back or front or back of the #8 pick and Sox, and Rockies a full game back.
But I mean come one the M's started 13-2 and are now 10-27 since. .866 start win % followed by the .270 win % collapse. I don't think any one had them down for either 87% win or a 27% win percentage. The 27% win rate would be good for 44 and 118 vs the 140.4 and 21.6 that the wet dream start was.
Teams that have 15,16,17,18 wins right now I do not think we could catch them even with this stretch. The Marlins, Orioles, Royals, and Tigers make this M's team look loaded. I think we could claim up to 5th but no higher and of course the range up or down is really far from there.
I think there are 5 teams in each league that the M's won't be able to catch at this point with what they got. So, if they catch fire again, Welcome to the same #20 pick we have this year give or take a slot or two.
for giggles
5-15
2010 5 AS
Drew pomeranz
7 Matt Harvey
12 Yasmani Grandal
13 Chris Sale
Made all stars no others of note
2011
We picked Hultzen and he was awesome until getting injured and nothing but 5-15 all stars
Lindor
Baez
Springer
Jose Fernandez
Sonny Gray 18
and near star levels'
Rendon, Bradley,
2012 5-20
3 all stars
Seager and Wacha were 18,19
Addison Russel was #11
Andrew Heany, Giolatto, and Albert Alomera lead the good not yet great grp.
2013 +No All styars in 5 to 20 but some notables
Marco G #19, Clint Frazier #5, Austin Meadows #9 etc
2014 Right after #6 Alex Jackson
allstar cornerstone Ace
AAron Nola
Mike Conforto #9
other notables: Trea Turner 13,
2015 No All stars yet but notables: 5-20
5 Kyle Tucker, 7 Benintendi
Just some food for thought in the SSS The other years from 5 to 20 went 3,4,4,5,5,2(2004-2009) So just a quick probably accurate count of 36 All-Stars on 10 years 3.6/year from 5 to 20. Let's call it 4 because I am sure Frazier, Meadows, Giolato, and others end up making it. So basically a 1/4 shot and an allstar level player better or worse depending on the year. Some years almost all of them are at least notable players.
