Pardon my French. That is fucking crazy! I'm on board with having a high pick in the draft so long as we are competitive again in 2021.

Can we bring back Paxton and Cruz then???(Joking on Cruz) Though he is aging well.

Those 30 and by the end of the season we will also see:
*Christian Bergman ..... who will suck like it's 2018 all over again
*Tyler Cloyd .............. everybody will scratch their heads and say, "Hmmmm, seems familiar."
*Jonathan Niese ......... back from the dead and the Long Island Ducks
*Jimmy Cordero ......... so unique he deserves his own thread
*Andrew Moore .......... bad for AAA Durham (TBR) and horrible for AAA Richmond (SFG) in 2019, JD said, "Welcome Back! Learn to throw a fastball yet?"
*Tayler Scott ............. every team wants a pitcher from Johannesburg, South Africa don't they?
*Robinson Leyer .........White Sox didn't want me, traded me to the Reds, I hated the Reds, became a free agent......whatthefuck am I doing in Tacoma?
*Art Warren ..............I pitch a little, I go on the I.L., I pitch a little, I go back on the I.L......can I at least go to Seattle and be put on a MLB I.L.?
*Reggie McClain .........“‘Come out the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs…’”
*Zac Grotz ................gimme a shot, man! I'm GOOD! I'm sick of the Independent leagues, and fuckyou, Mets, Dodgers amd Astros, I'll make you regret it

**another Indie League "Discovery"
**A JD trade acquisition
**and another JD trade get
**an as of yet unused position player ... I'm betting Kristopher Negron
Rocky Colavito is a Hall of Famer in my book!

I would rather have a 40 yo Cruz than a 30 yo Paxton.

I'm either way on it for both players. I loved watching Boomstick night in and night out. But watching the Big Maple touch 100 over and over again was just damn near "Sexy!" I wish we would've kept both players.

Paxton was always fun watching between his booboos that consistently put him on the DL.

Had to go back and read this post because I thought it was tracking Seager or Smith's OPS.

How much time to you give each of those guys if this is what they are?

We now currently hold next years 6th pick in the draft. The same spot we used to draft Alex Jackson. Wasn't Lindor a 6th overall pick?

Fantastic place to be when you're not contending.

Dipoto nailed it, they saw right through the teams over-performance last season. I have to give them credit for that. Other GM's may have made the mistake to try and build on last seasons team, God forbid.

Good point

We are where we should be right now. Headed for a top 5 pick and freeing up our payroll and our bad contracts. We will soon have flexibility with our payroll. Jerry has done what needed to be done
