and what makes it interesting are the lousy drafts they have had over the last four seasons

What you call interesting I call frustrating. I wonder how many playoff teams have failed to draft an Offensive or Defensive Pro Bowler since 2010?Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 8:17 pmand what makes it interesting are the lousy drafts they have had over the last four seasons

Re: Michael K for you...
exactly, a team that hasn't drafted a pro bowler since 2010, makes the playoffs on a regular basis, but the coach doesn't get any credit for it
Re: Michael K for you...
Who says he doesn't get credit for it. He gets credit for all the wins and blame for all the winnable losses.....Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 8:58 pmexactly, a team that hasn't drafted a pro bowler since 2010, makes the playoffs on a regular basis, but the coach doesn't get any credit for it

Watching NFLs 100 greatest Characters and Bum Phillips was just up. They asked him why he didn't where a hat at home but wore it on the road. He said his mother taught him not wear a hat indoors. ![Laughing ](./images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)

Michael commented he felt pretty much any NFL caliber coach could do the same, that to me is taking away any particular credit.D-train wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 9:20 pmWho says he doesn't get credit for it. Those other coaches would have gotten credit for the wins as well. Clearly PC is an above average coach and with an above average IQ, that is why his brain cramps and stubbornness are so maddening.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 9:27 pmMichael commented he felt pretty much any NFL caliber coach could do the same, that to me is taking away any particular credit for itD-train wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 9:20 pmWho says he doesn't get credit for it. They would have gotten credit for their wins, but i thought the question was could any reasonable NFL coach have taken the Hawks to the playoffs six of the last seven seasons, particularly with as bad as their drafting has been. Seems to me, the more we complain about JS's lousy drafts, the better it must make PC who has managed to coach them to the playoffs each season

With Russ and Bobby? I believe it is likely. Especially if they ran an offense that was designed to maximize the QB, and not a power run game out of the shotgun.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Sat May 09, 2020 10:04 pmThey would have gotten credit for their wins, but i thought the question was could any reasonable NFL coach have taken the Hawks to the playoffs six of the last seven seasons, particularly with as bad as their drafting has been. And, when your couch is also the VP of Foot all Ops? He should also be questioned why it’s been ten years since they drafted a Pro Bowler that wasn’t a Punter or Return Man.
