It was the theme of the off season. Quantity over quality.
Sign Clowney, Conklin and Reed would've been favorites for NFC West . Instead sign crap and Reed then yell "Russell save us!!!"

Weird, that is the offensive game plan too!

I'm not sure who told him it would be better to wait it out but can he even get a 'good' deal anymore? Does any team still have the cap space to take on a player at 15mill or so per year? Now he's looking at a 1 year deal for 10 or less i'd guess.

And your guess would be wrong. There are reports of Eagles and Seahawks offering deals close to his asking price.

Here is my Eagle's perspective with the actual Eagle perspective which is truly the most imported part of an Eagles perspective post...

Clowney still being unsigned at this point in the offseason (by ANYone) speaks volumes. All it takes is one team, and 'one team' hasn't shown up. He'd be a great add, but not a franchise changer... at LEAST not at his price tag. (And I'm one of those guys who things the 'number of sacks' argument is vastly overstated). Leaving Clowney as more of a 'get him if you can, but definitely without over-committing' kind of guy.

Griffin or nothing in that conversation, I assume? (I'm NOT a savvy football fan, as I'd say with baseball to some modest extent).

I would be ok with Griffen. I don't have a big issue with crazy people. I married one after all.
