Projecting the OD starting lineup

Post by D-train » Fri Jul 03, 2020 5:33 pm

This guy does a very good job. I was thinking of swapping White and JP as well but he has a good explanation why he doesn't. Sucks that we are going to have to see Smith in the lineup. Hopefully Mitch comes back some day.

Good look at Hancock on the Hawks field. See my tweet at the bottom.

Before I read it, here's my prediction

2b Long
SS Crawford
C Tom Murphy
3B Seager
RF Lewis
DH Vogelbach
1B White
LF Fraley
CF Mallex

SP
Gonzales
Graveman
Kikuchi
Walker
Sheffield
Dunn

There are not a lot of RH bats. If game 1 is against a lefty, then I see Moore in the OF over Fraley. Put Moore at #2 and bump everyone else down.

Can't believe you have Mallex 9th instead of 8th, you Mallex hater. ;) I would literally rather see DeLoach instead of Mallex.

One positive about a 60 game season it's only 1/3 of the game threads to have people obsessively b****ing about mallex. Just look at it this way, if he sucks, he just helps us get a high pick next year.

God damn! You need a clothes pin on your nose to hold that lineup card. Predict less than 5 wins in Jully, less than 10 in August.

I have two aspirations for this season, in order.

1.) Developing young talent, to the point the M's jump into the 2020-2021 offseason FA market.
2.) The #1 draft pick, as per the Strat-O-Matic simulated season to date.

That is all. If the OD lineup helps with #2 w/o hurting #1, frankly, I'm over the moon about that. </movie quote>

Negative infinity chance you will have both 1 and 2 happen.

Well, unless a couple key guys go through the moon but the rest wash out. =P But yeah, no true disagreement here!

They are playing the 1985 game between the Mets and Braves on MLB network that didn't end until 3 something in the morning. It the one where Rick Camp hit the miracle HR I believe.
