They do have mist tents. That was where the Mrs. and my daughter spent most the game on Father's Day after my baby was just born. But the overall consensus was that games in the summer here were just too hot. You'd be lucky if you could get youre seat in the shade. Forget about afternoon games. I'd usually head to the Captain Morgan's bar where it was nice and cool.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 12:56 amAt 8 pm local time, won't most of the stadium be in the shade until the sun goes down? I'm sure they have shade tents for those not in the dugout, that was the problem in Seattle for the afternoon game. Not sure there will be much difference in temp except the spots where there isn't shade.
I missed the part where the roof was open for more context. I'm just not sure that opening the roof will make much difference for a night game. It probably actually helps with air flow.

How much is it shaded at gametime at 8 pm local? Sundown is 8:18, so what would the purpose of the roof be then?Sexymarinersfan wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:00 amThey do have mist tents. I think its time for Lewis to hit another towering 450 foot HR today.

Lewis gets a base hit!!
Re: 8/10 RangerBalls Dunn roped & tied Game Thread
Probably 25 degrees difference open vs. closed so I would call that significant.

Didn't realize they had AC and that it was all enclosed.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:11 amThey turn the AC on when its closed.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 12:56 amAt 8 pm local time, won't most of the stadium be in the shade until the sun goes down? People work Mon-Fri and going to the ballpark on the afternoon games on the weekend just didn't appeal to a lot of people in July and August. Its 8:13 now and the temp. is 93*.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Tue Aug 11, 2020 1:04 amHow much is it shaded at gametime at 8 pm local? Lewis hitting .365. Starting to be a not so small sample size now.

I despise the waste pitch. 0-2 and the guy throws it 3 feet outside. No chance the guy even thinks about swinging. Then you miss on your next pitch. Now you have to throw a strike to avoid going full count. Then you do what Dunn just did an walk the guy. Don't waste ANY pitches.
So now he steals and he goes from why ahead to a guy on second and it all started with that BS 0-2 pitch.
