He was Ranked 16th by BA 8 months before we traded for him.
Looks like he was #3 in the Philllies organization at the start of 2018.

Sam Carlson was our #3, followed by Braden Bishop and Daniel Vogelbach. UGH Glad our list is looking much better these days.

If the Spin rate is 2200 rpms, and the pitch is 93mph then how many full revolutions does the ball make during the pitch?
34.975 if you assume 60.5 feet. Give or take given the catcher is set back and the pitcher is out infront of the mound.
I have 16.12 times. A 93mph pitch takes .43 seconds to get to HP. I used 60 even. You might be missing one calculation.
I might have divided by .682 (the conversion from ft/second) instead of multiply. I got 16.2 when I calculated with that change just now.

I was encouraged by Moore last year. I never thought he'd do what he's doing now, and its a small sample size, but I like him. He's better than Motter and all the other utility guys Dipoto has brought in.

Home Run Parade. Should have qualified that.

It takes less than that..... a 90 mph slider takes 400 milliseconds to reach home plate. 93 mph would be in the neighborhood of 365 milliseconds....

Moore has been one of the more pleasant offerings on the season so far.
Dunn pitched well enough I hope he can build off it.
The top 4 or 5 looks to be solid once again.

A 93mph pitch takes .43 seconds to get to home plate. 93 miles is 93 x 5280 = 491,040 feet. 60 feet is 60/491,040 or .000122 of that distance.

.000122 x 3600 seconds in a hour is .43 seconds. If it spins 2200 times a minute it spins 16.12 times in .43 seconds. 60/.43 = 136.4

and 2200/136.4 = 16.12

Easy breezy. :)

Yep and 16.2 is more accurate because it is 60 feet 6 inches. I had 16.12 for 60 so that makes sense.
