JerDip signed another Indy league stud superstar today. He's 29 year old, 6'4, 250#'s Sean Nolin.

Nolin was ranked as the number 5 prospect in the Blue Jays organization on July 26, 2013
He pitched in 6 games for Oakland in 2015 as a starting LHP, going 1-2, 29 innings, 16 K's, 12 walks, 4 HR's.

On August 21, 2016, Nolin underwent Tommy John surgery. He didn't pitch at all in 2016 - 2017.

Long Island Ducks
On May 3, 2019, Nolin signed with the Long Island Ducks of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball.

In 7 games for the Ducks (5 starts), he was 5-0, 1.29 ERA in 35 innings, 38 K's, 6 walks, 5 earned runs, 1 HR.

Seattle Mariners
On June 7, Nolin's contract was purchased by the Seattle Mariners and he was assigned to the Triple-A Tacoma Rainiers.

Maybe he's THE ONE. Magically, robo-reconstructed from TJ surgery and he takes off to lead the M's to uber mediocrity-ville.

It’s his 8.10 ERA in AA this year that impressed me!
What? His 5 home runs allowed in 16 inning? The sun was in his eyes.
I don't have a problem signing these guys for AAA. When you've signed 30-40 mediocre to bad ones already, sooner or later a mediocre one will displace a bad one.

I'm excited about him. Maybe less upside than Williamson, but pretty low risk. Unfortunately we probably don't see him pitch until next year in the pros.

He's not dead yet.
Evan on White-hot streak for Travelers

Mariners No. 4 prospect Evan White tallied four hits in the Travelers' 8-5 win over the Drillers on Friday and takes a 10-game hitting streak into their next Texas League tilt
https://www.milb.com/

And tonight, after 7 innings, Evan White is 2-4 with his 5th home run. He will get at least one more at bat.

Sanchez started and pitched 5 shutout innings of 3-hit ball with 9 K's and 2 BB's. Delaplane is on in relief. After starting off the 6th walking the first batter he struck out the side. Now he's just K'd 2 more in the 7th.

Lewis is 1-3, DTW is 1-4.

It's the top of the 8th and 3B Logan Taylor just hit a solo home run. ArkTrav's are up 6-0.

Art Warren now pitching the bottom of the 8th. Gets the Tulsa Drillers 1-2-3 with a K, a 6-3 and another K.

Top of the 9th, it'll be Walton, White, Lewis.

New 3Bman Jake Scheiner hit his first HR for Haniger's Nuts.....errr.....for the Modesto Nuts a couple of minutes ago.
He's the return M's got for Jay Bruce.

Nuts are playing the Rawhide..........poor Haniger, doesn't get a break.

Last year in Pilly's A-Ball Sheiner hit 13 HR's, 67 RBI's with .296 \ .372 \ .470 \ .842 in 122 games.
The 23 y.o. plays mostly 3B, some 1B and LF.

There is a 24 y.o. RH relief pitcher in Modesto by the name of Collin Kober. M's drafted him in the 27th round of the 2017 MLB June Amateur Draft from McNeese State University (Lake Charles, LA). I has flown under my radar up until now. Should he be categorized as a sleeper?
3 seasons in the M's system and he has a 3.10 ERA in 77 games, 114 innings. He's 11-5, 14 saves, 152 strikeouts against 34 walks in those 114.1 innings.
He's allowed 53 runs but only 39 are earned meaning shitty defense behind him. 99 hits (6 HR's).

Seems a pitcher of potential interest. I think he was an All Star last season.

Found this from January's top 50 Mariner prospect list.
46. Collin Kober, RHP
Age: 24
Highest Level: AA
Also a sidearm reliever, Kober was taken in the 27th round in 2017. He hopes to build on his strong 2018 where he went 6-1 with a 2.55 ERA and 1.03 WHIP between Modesto and Clinton.

I assume Haniger will rehab with The Nuts?
