I think it's a denial mechanism more than anything, that losing a bunch if games this year means we'll be championship contenders a few years from now.
Where the Astros are concerned, very few of those players were much of a part of those horrible teams, and they're an anomaly considering that what put them over the top was scoring TOR pitchers in free agency.
