Man Edelman is a baller dude.
They could NOT stop him tonight.

We need a pass rush badly.
Edelman had a career game tonight, we could not stop that little fucker.

It's not a good sign if your strong safety is your best pass rusher. I hate to imagine how much worse it could be if we didn't have Jamal.
Well, we saw how bad it is without Diggs. 397 passing yards allowed. Imagine if the Seahawks secondary was made up entirely of Schneider's draft picks over the past 7 years.
It would be really bad if not horrid if we had all of Johns picks in the defensive backfield. He hasn’t done a good job there at all.

But, John realizes it. Traded for Dunbar, Diggs, and Adams. if not for the trades our dbs would look like our Bad defensive line.

Did Olsen get injured? He was targeted once the entire game and that was the play where the ball bounced off his hands to the defender for the pick 6. How much money did they waste on this guy when they desperately needed a legit pass rushing DE?

The things is, when you trade for them you don't get them on those rookie contracts (or the full length of them), plus you give up high draft picks.

I agree, money for Olsen and Finney look not so good. When our dt and de borderline suck.

Worst 2-0 team in the league. They're going to get eaten alive by the elite teams.

Not sure what happened with Olsen. He had a good game a week ago, but I do agree that the money spent on other players could have been used to possibly keep Clowney. I still like the Olsen signing though, hope he bounces back next week.

Positives:

RW is the best player in the NFL right now.
OL was solid for a 2nd straight week.
WR core is elite it seems.
Carson seems as good as ever and Hyde has been solid.
Jamal Adams pass rushing and run defense.
Run defense has been quality. Poona being the catalyst here.
Defense has handled plays to exterior far better than last year.

Negatives:

Stupid penalties.
0 pass rush from the defensive ends. And I mean 0. :x
Interior rush has been dog shit.
Jamal Adams pass defense has been woeful.
Shaq has looked pedestrian in a contract season.
Dunbar has either looked elite in coverage or like absolute shit.
Diggs hasn't made an impact at all.

A lot of the struggles on defense will be solved if they can figure out how to get ANY pressure on a QB. Alton Robinson better be on the active roster and starting. The Hawks also need to look at ways to bring in talent to rush the passer on defense. Explore trades... get a f/a with the remaining cap money... because this cannot continue. While the pass coverage hasn't been great, there's not a single secondary in football that is going to stop an NFL QB who faces no pressure and in turn is always on time + comfortable. This. Needs. To. Change.

Zero reason to throw deep on 3rd and 1. Why put the defense in this spot?
I think RW was thinking of that 4th down pass to Metcalf last week and got stupid. I'd give it to Carson there unless NE totally sold out to stop the run.
Even if they did, the incompletion stops the clock and our defense was getting carved up. Who’d have thought Pete would dial up a pass and I’d be pissed, but that was stupid as shit!

Agree. The pass rush is flat out dog shit except for our Safety, and he whiffed twice tonight in big spots. Honestly? Besides Adams when he isn’t in coverage, and Wagner? The defense is pretty bad.
