Here is the crux of the issue in which the decision should be based on. I can see both sides.

Great read and definitely looks at both angles well.

Crawford seems to have a better shot than White at this point.

I just saw that White is due $1.5M next season... So they backloaded his contract so that he gets expensive right about the time we will be calling for his replacement if his bat doesn't show up. Awesome.

Welp.

The guy from Fansided seems think Lindor will fetch a lesser haul that I do.

My trade was:

Dunn, Fraley, Trammel, Crawford.

Have a hard time believing any team wouldn't demand a pitching piece in a blockbuster. The author includes none.

In any trade for Lindor I'd like to see Crawford on the move. He can't hit. When you have hundreds of millions to spend... why settle on a player who only excels at 1/2 the game? Moore/Lindor is a tremendous SS/2B combo.

Fraley seems like a guy who would do well in Cleveland or like Tampa Bay... we have too many OF prospects to keep him... seems like a likely piece considering Cleveland's need for MLB "ready" OF's.

And then Trammel is the top prospect you include in a deal like this... especially when you have Kelenic and Julio in your farm.

M's have about $154.5 million to spend in 2022 to get to their 2017 number. Best get to fkn work... Lindor is a start.

I think yours is a very realistic offer. The prospect value in trades is the hardest thing to predict imo, because we have such limited info on these young guys compared to what teams have.

Crawford and Trammell probably gets a conversation started at least.

I'd never put Trammel on the block..... he is a definite possibility for becoming our lead off hitter. Lewis, Trammel, JRod, Kellenic, Marte,Raleigh, France, Munoz, Gilbert, Kirby, and Hancock should all be untouchable...It's what we stripped down our team to build for the future with....That's our core position roster and core pitching staff....

I just enter Jake Fr.........into the search bar and it gave me Jake From State Farm. The Jake from State farm could probably manage Fraley's MLB slash line (.152/.200/.227/.427) slash line.) Only 70 PAs but saying he is Mlb ready is a stretch. And its not like he is a hot young prospect still developing. Will turn 26 early in the season next year.

I can see it being prudent to make sure 3 guys pan out before for trading Trammell but you can't have 4 OFers in you core unless Trammel becomes a 4th OF; but I would trade him before his value massively shrinks to that level.

Thats kind of where I'm at. I wouldn't move a Kelenic or Lewis bat to a corner outfield spot to accommodate some light hitting speedster.

Maybe there's more to Trammell though 🤷‍♂️
