Putting Moore at 2B is exactly what they should have done for Seager before they saddled him at 3B which demands more offense.

He could have a much higher career WAR as a 2B, imo. Positional scarcity. His bat shines even brighter at 2B in other words.

Same with Moore. Sure, he could play a serviceable 1B, but if he can play 2B, why tf saddle him anywhere else?

btw Lopes wasn't hitting well but still better than Long.

At this point Utility player might actually be our biggest hole


Personally I'd rarely use one and just keep the fastest mother effer i can find to pinch run. Why would we want our best players on the bench, stop treating them like babies and let them play every day.

Oh no, during this incredibly long 60 game season including the four day break they just had we need to rest guys at least 2-3 times a week so they are fresh for the playoffs.

Haggerty, Moore, Long, Lopes, France, Gordon and Marmo all play utility roles. I think we're covered lol.

France is the Perfect DH. He can hit like a bastard and can adequately play multiple positions giving our weary and battle scarred position players a day off every now and then.

Actually the positional adjustment of 2B and 3B is equal. +2.5 Same as CF. Guessing the stronger arm at 3B and the more mobility needed at 2B are a wash. Seager lost nothing in terms of fWar by playing third base.
