I wouldn't put Beckham over Gordon in anything other than the power department. He was terrible for the Orioles last season and he's matching that this season, playing time or not. Murphy gets similar playing time and he hits. Not to champion Gordon though, as both Beckham and Gordon can't get off this team fast enough.

Just got one run closer. I would modify my suggestion to Sevais announcing that he's playing the game under protest due to the Astros getting five free runs they didn't deserve, at the very least do it just to show them up. Seriously, DO IT.

I think we might have just pinpointed the exact moment Gordon decided he no longer wants to be a Mariner.

But to be serious and somewhat empathetic, it has to be tough to play for someone knowing that sometime in the middle of the season you're going to be somewhere else. Even if you know you're going to a better team that has to take some kind of a mental toll just wondering when it's going to happen.

His average has been falling since game 10. Take out those 10 games, and his average is .189...

But don't let facts get in your way.

And even so, his OPS is .733 to Dee Gordon's .657

Too bad your opinion doesn't match reality. He got off to a hot start, then stunk it up after that, while playing regularly. Yeah, Dee Gordon may not be all world, but Beckham stinks too and his defense is atrocious (although Gordon has struggled tonight).

But OPS is the only stat that means anything at all, so thats all we have to look at
