What's it gonna take to make us stop watching? How many bad calls, rule changes to fix the bad calls, domestic violence, egregious behavior by the players and owners, controversies. How long before they kill that cash cow?

Good question. I almost think they would have to have players sit at the 50 yard line and fire automatic weapons into the stands before most of us would stop watching!

You are basically telling the fans that the two preseason games are eliminated, while forcing the teams to field a preseason-type of roster for two games -WHILE EXPECTING THE FAN TO PAY FULL FREIGHT. Jesus H Christ the NFL continues to destroy their own brand chasing the quick buck. Imagine being tasked with 'figuring out' how many games each player has played. Totally changes your entire strategy for the season. Absolutely shit-for-brains behind this idea. Greed and stupidity will end this league eventually.

Actually only 2/18 of the roster would be ineligible each game or 6 of 53 guys. You have that much variability with the roster every week with injuries and such. It would only be noticeable if guys like RW and BW are out. If it means MORE FOOTBALL it's a small price to pay.

That is a good point. And, is it really that different from a team being 12 and 3 and sitting their starters in game 16 because it doesn't matter?

This is really strange. I mean what if your 2nd string QB gets injured? Do you have some sort of expanded roster for these two games? Do you have a mandated 1/9th of your declared roster not play each game? Don't most players get snaps in some way in most games? I mean with the exception of some I know the D-line has sub rotations. I know the O-line stays together but goal line, and special teams (punt, FG) have different packages.
