Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
Reading the description of what happened, I'd be shocked if she's lying. But agree with you - if this is a scam for a pay day, fuck her. Innocent until proven guilty is an excuse for you to say shit like "can't jail a guy every time a woman asks you to slap her around".... I guess we'll see what happens, but if I'm the Dodgers, I don't give him the ball when this shit is hanging over his head.
Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
Sounds bad for sure. They were even texting about this stuff though.
She sounds like an Instagram gold digger to me.
Let me bang him (AGAIN), after texting about rough sex, and for some reason the rich guy starts smashing her face. Have to give her the benefit of the doubt, but there's still reasonable doubt from where I'm sitting.
We watched Christine Blahblah Ford sit there and obviously lie about Brett Kavanaugh for political gain, can't imagine what some of these broads will do when it comes to money.
Just saying, if charges get dropped after a cash settlement, it won't surprise me.
On the other hand, he's a weird mf'er, so who knows.

Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
Well with his money, no doubt he will hire the best legal team money can buy, (O.J. anyone?) and they will find a way to twist this and claim she asked him to beat her skull in, and beat her face to a bloody pulp. And he will walk away without being charged, only to inflict his sick actions on the next unsuspecting woman.
I know this won't be a popular stance in this forum, but can anyone really claim all those injuries could possibly be self inflicted? Seriously, come on. And what if she was your daughter, or sister, or niece, or anyone else you genuinely cared about? How would you feel then? Innocent till proven guilty? Do you believe O.J. was innocent because he was not convicted in a court of law?
At least one thing is certain. This will undoubtedly hang over his head for the rest of his baseball career. He'll be taking a lot of heat from opposing teams fans when he goes on the road, and this incident will also factor into his next contract negotiations, assuming he's still playing then.
As I said, I know this is not a popular stance here, and if you guys want to jettison me from this forum, that's fine with me. I've enjoyed the banter here, and it's nice to have fellow M's fans to cheer along with. But I find some of the comments regarding this subject rather disturbing and felt the need to voice my opinion. I side with "WoodinvilleCoug" on this one.

Can anyone say she didn't go into the second sexual encounter with a plan for a payday? None of us know either way.TraderGary wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 2:00 amWell with his money, no doubt he will hire the best legal team money can buy, (O.J. anyone?) and they will find a way to twist this and claim she asked him to beat her skull in, and beat her face to a bloody pulp. George Floyd's family and supporters act like he was a saint also, sometimes family isn't the best judge of character.
If he's guilty and was actually punching her unconscious, off with his head. If she set it up, off with hers.
Money makes people do some crazy things.
As I said, Christine Ford cried rape and was obviously lying, it's a bit disingenuous to act like money wouldn't motivate a woman to scam a rich guy on instagram.
Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
Sounds like a gold digger situation.
Hi rich, sexy, celebrity I want you to:
Hit me, slap me, have rough nasty domination sex with me daddy.
Also, I am going to use this to make me a rich, sexy, celebrity.
It is a scam. Race Hucksters, gold diggers, and a number of others take advantage of our society's compassion, empathy, desire to build a just, safe society.
This thread should probably be moved to the "politics" section.

Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
On this I can agree with you. The problem is, just because someone is not convicted in a court of law doesn't mean they're innocent. It basically comes down to how good of a legal team can you afford to buy to get you off. We've seen it too many times, and again I go back to O.J. as exhibit A.bpj wrote: ↑Fri Jul 02, 2021 2:11 amCan anyone say she didn't go into the second sexual encounter with a plan for a payday? Regarding George Floyd, I find it repulsive that he has been made into this martyr and cult hero. He was a disgusting human being, and about as far from a saint as you can get.

Can’t think of many people that ask for a beating that sends to the hospital, also can’t believe she wanted her ass to bleed.
Did she want rough sex , sounds like it. But it also sound like a line was crossed. Jury will decide or she will be paid off. You never know all the story and neither side is going say much of anything to make themselves look bad

Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
This will be interesting to see how this plays out.
1st, It is kinda funny that this case involves what is and is not consensual.
Laws for recording phone calls
In 12 states—California, Connecticut, Florida, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, and Washington—all parties involved need to consent before one of them can record the conversation.
The 2nd thing I'd like to point out is this little passage " but when she said that she did not consent to that and did not consider it a “free-for-all,” This bit where she, the police, and her lawyer think that her secretly recording her chat and trying to install the definition of I didn't consent. Is so Twitter.
The Pasadena police had her send a text to Bauer stating that she’d like to talk over the phone and that, in the course of that recorded phone call, she asked Bauer: “What did you do to me when I was unconscious?”
Bauer admitted to punching her in the buttocks repeatedly, but when she said that she did not consent to that and did not consider it a “free-for-all,” Bauer then tried to change the conversation.
“At the end of the phone call, at the police’s instructions, I said, ‘Thank you for acknowledging what you did to me,'” the woman’s account said. “Trevor acknowledged it and asked how we could move forward and asked if he could still reach out.” The woman said she told him he could because she did not know if the police needed more messages from him to collect as evidence as part of their investigation.
Lt. Bill Grisafe confirmed Wednesday the Pasadena Police Department is actively investigating this. “We were notified on or about May 16 and that’s when we began looking into the accusations,” he said. “It’s an active investigation.”
Grisafe told The Athletic that the case has not been presented to the district attorney’s office, which would be the next step after the investigation concludes for potential charging.
“We anticipate there will be criminal action against Mr. Bauer and it is our hope law enforcement will take our client’s allegations and case seriously,” the woman’s lawyer, Marc Garelick, said in a statement.
The woman said she waited to request the domestic violence restraining order to see how the criminal investigation would proceed and expressed concern over the timeline.
“I am deeply concerned that no arrest has been made or charges filed,” she said in the document.
“One of the last text messages I sent him was, ‘I appreciate all of your offers to help, but the best way you can help me is to never do that to anyone else ever again.’ To this, Trevor responded, ‘I would never do anything to hurt anyone. That includes you.’”

Re: Trevor Bauer under Assault Investigation
You know,
I could be mistaken maybe she is honest in her position that she was into kinky sex and consented to A-B-C-S&M but not Z.
He could also be honest in being a consensual partner that as an adult agreed to be the dominant physical manhandling alpha.
In a society that ignores the twitterings, Twits, and twats virtue-signaling snap posts. If you just went with two adults disagree on the aspect of the definition.
When I think about these two positions I see that these two people won't be able to come together and agree. I think this will just turn into a bunch of partisan politicking.
