Rumor has it we're likely to bring back Gino to compete with Lock. If that's what we're rolling with, I give us a 1.3% chance of topping 6 wins, so anything would be an improvement.
I don't like the sounds of that either and I consider myself Lock-curious.
I want to see the Sehawks go into this season with the same wide open competition we had the year RW won the job.

I don't care but does anybody think Jacob Eason has a shot?

Doesn't sound like it. He is never mentioned in these discussions in the media.

Ryan to the Colts eliminating a key Baker destination.

And maybe Willis going to the panthers at 6 or the Falcons at 8. Most likely riding with Drew abs Geno with a rookie in rounds 2-7. That would be my guess. With Baker the second option. Low draft capital in the trade.

Weird times.

this could make things interesting. Makes Atl needing a QB. The fact a former MVP went for a 3rd might make Baker Mayfield worth something like a 5th (probably not, but would love that trade).

I really really hope we don't reach for a QB at #9. If you see a guy that is great, you get him, but don't take a QB just because he's the best of the crappy options. Everybody says Willis has potential, but "isn't ready" - got thinking, if a guy "isn't ready", will he EVER be ready? Has that ever happened in the history of the NFL where a "not ready" QB developed into a stud??

Brett Favre? Not sure, that is a good point though. There have been guys that sat some, like Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Hasselbeck....not that Matt is in that class, but still. But, I am not sure if any of them really sat because they weren't ready besides Favre and Matt.

I feel like all those guys were drafted by teams with good-but-aging QBs and sat for a year by design (Mahomes with Alex Smith, Jackson/Flacco, Rodgers/Favre, Hass/also Favre). I don't remember them being labeled as "not ready", they were all highly touted, no (not so much Hasselbeck)?

I can't really remember how Favre was regarded, because that was like 100 years ago.

I like Willis if we have a veteran to mentor him, but I want a #9 overall pick to have an immediate impact.

Want no part of Mayfield. He's not a SB winning QB - he's a QB that can take you to 9-8 but no better. Really don't want a QB that is going to take us to .500 type ball. I'd rather we keep drafting and trying - if they are shit then they are shit and lets keep getting top 10 draft picks until we find our franchise QB.
