PI is going off of this year only. Where are you seeing that 2019 will be included again. I don't see it because it already determined last year's draft. 60 games is enough of a sample. Also it would delegitimize the playoffs this season. They would basically be saying 60 games is enough for to determine playoff teams but not for draft order???? Idiotic.

I think that's why they went to 16 team playoff. I think the season and the division titles ARE delegitimized, but with a 16 team playoff, I don't think the season and World Series are as much.

That said, I hope last year's record doesn't play into draft ranking. I would like using the last 2 years though.

SexyMfan... will next year's draft be deeper? All of last year's Srs are getting a year of eligibility back. All the Jrs that would have been drafted this last draft but weren't are returning. All the sophomore last year will be eligible. There is still a crop of HS players graduating. Is there a place for last year's Srs to play and be eligible for the draft next year, or are JCs not playing baseball?

I think that's why they went to 16 team playoff. I think the season and the division titles ARE delegitimized, but with a 16 team playoff, I don't think the season and World Series are.

Its FAR less than 162 but still only 22 and 20 shorter than hockey and NBA. College baseball seasons are only about 50 games and 60 is almost 4x NFL and almost 5x college football. I know that comparing to football is complete apples to orangutans but still so many more games than those leagues that nobody ever questions in terms of legitimacy.

Anyway, this notion of including games from over two year prior to determine the June 2021 draft order is lunacy in isn't happening.

Think about this. We would be penalized by our 13-2 start in March/April of 2019 which occurred over 26 months prior by a team with only a handful of players that still remain in the org.

Draft picks are going to be a huge crap shoot because of the lack of games to scout....it is just the newest most outlanish way we will be getting screwed.....just like the last 43years.

Well looks like there is about a 90% chance it will. Only way it doesn't is if we improve to 7th worst or better.
