Im sure they are feeling like they have to "get prepared" since a select few of the medical experts keep predicting billions dead by next week

I too keep wondering about this. We hear about our hospitals being overrun, out of control centers of chaos yet I have yet to see anything of the sort. Show us the proof. Until then I will just rack it up to more doomsday predicting to keep this panic going.

I wish we would ban predictions instead of booze and fishing. Would be much more productive.

No the only time Obama shut anything down was when the republican congress failed to pass a budget to fund the government and the feds went and closed every national park they could think of to piss off people...huge backfire. They closed the Columbia River boat launch on federal property....it took more trouble to find a lock and gate to lock us out than they ever spent grading the gravel road. This is over kill and every politician taking advantage of this situation to make life miserable in an attempt to defeat the orange man will hugely fail....... Yes we do need to social distance yes New York is in trouble....... 95% of the United States doesn’t have the density of inner cities.....

but your death rate is a function of having adequate health care facilities, if you allow your health care system to be swamped then i would think the death rate increases. The need for quarantine is a function of medical facilities. If you have unlimited facilities then there is no need for a quarantine. As I understand it, the american facilities are already under strain
