Another day, another day of nothing.

29 days until game #1 of Spring.

Bad day for JK. lol
I thought Profar might be a guy you could get for either 2B or 3B. He is not ideal but if he had an "up" year, it would have been nice. 3 years for 42M.

He was a guy that performed in a tough stadium, its a move that at least would have kind of made some sense.

Unfortunately, this is a team that sees a $12M deal go south so they just stop doing them altogether...

Anyone do this trade. Mayo was awesome in the minors but channeled JK in his MLB debut

I think he's a B prospect. I don't hate him but there's a lot of swing and miss and the Baseball America report on him says that he'll probably move to 1B at some point, which puts even more pressure on the bat. If the Mariners did that deal, I would hope that they really did their due diligence beforehand because you kind of need the bat to be special.

Only if you believe that Mayo can handle 3B. (and MLB pitching, and playing his home games at T-mobile)

He had over a 28% K rate in AAA last year. And he has had OPS's just over .900 the last two years in AAA, that is good but not great production. I have no idea what kind of a hitting environment exists at their AAA club. I would imagine it is not as hitter friendly as the PCL but how much of a discount do you give it?

Yeah, I don't know. I think he's a good prospect, just not a great one. He's like a lot of guys that are sort of on the bubble and if he can't stay at third, he'll probably disappoint you.
