Wow ump dident help but Muni does not allow a run. Muni never gets help on close pitches always the opponent. 6 in a row and half game away!!! Wow other then Geno this team is showing how bad they are fighting. Geno is really scaring me. Hottest team since trade deadline.

GG.
This is fun.
It's nice scoring 7 and feeling like we left more out there vs the last 4 years where we'd be lucky sometimes to not K 13+ times and try to win games 2-1.

First Base positional adjustment means you have to be off the chart ridiculous to lead the League. Top fWAR for a 1B this year is 3.6 which is 22nd in baseball.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:39 amSure, but with his play I'd think it'd be like 10.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:36 amI don't get why you think that's unkind. .3 War in 7 games projects out to a 6.9 WAR over 162.Seattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:12 amI don't get why WAR is so unkind to Naylor... since 8/1 the guy has an OPS of like 1.100 and has like 12 steals but only generated .3 fWAR?
He's tied for 37th over that span.

Should have never walked Kim umped helped there. Muni did a good job!!!
Still can't believe Dan went with a lefty against thier best hitter who is a righty. Wtf was that? Thank God did not totally hurt us!!!

and somehow he came into this game with a 0.95 WHIP I believe. I was shocked to see that. I think it's a case of 1st H vs 2nd H. He was dominant for 2+ months and now he's been very getableSeattle or Bust wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:38 amMan Munoz doesnt have many clean innings does he...

Which seems silly.Captain 97 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:46 amFirst Base positional adjustment means you have to be off the chart ridiculous to lead the League. I don't get why you think that's unkind. .3 War in 7 games projects out to a 6.9 WAR over 162.

And to Vogel's credit, why WAR should probably not be compared too closely between positions.

When he's warming up in the bullpen, they should try something different. Have someone stand in as a batter, get an ump to call balls/strikes or something.Vogelbomb wrote: ↑Sun Aug 10, 2025 4:47 amand somehow he came into this game with a 0.95 WHIP I believe. It always seems like he has to get warmed up on the field before he figures things out.

Man... really wish we'd be in line to face the guy who went for the Orioles today.
0-5 with an ERA nearing 7.
