I don’t know what our record is when we strike out in double figures but my guess is awful. Could one of you metric gurus check it out. We just don’t put the ball in play enough even though the pen imploded

Most of that is from the really high strikeout games though. They struck out 10 times today. They were 12-5 in games where they struck out exactly 10 times this season.

What is best strategy for Skubal. Jump on first pitch possibly or make him work the count. How good are we against changeups. My motto is if its a first pitch strike no matter what your up there hacking. Why sit around & wait you know what he's got you've seen him 3x already. Castillo gonna have to toss a shutout. Weather might be iffy ball might not travel as far. Also if we're just getting on with singles you gotta be aggressive on the bases. No waiting around. Put guys in scoring position. What's everyone else's thoughts on how to attack the soon to be Cy Young winner.

That was one of the saddest Mariner losses in history. They were getting pretty close to ALCS and then it all fell apart.

Good series. Mariners are familiar with Skubal and will be at home for the final. That's a decent position to be in, but not as good as up 3 on the road in game 4.

I think the way to beat a great pitcher is with great hitting, which means seeing and reacting to the pitches. I think the Ms might've been a little bit off guard in this one. They need to dial their focus back in. Grind out the ABs. Can't just take the first pitch trying to work the count, gotta attack if it's good, but Skubal will mix it up, so can't hack at first pitch balls either.

The Ms are taking the most difficult path here trying to beat Skubal twice in the series. Hopefully that Tiger offense quiets back down after the plane flight to Seattle.

Agreed 100%. Swing 1st pitch no waiting. They know what his changeup looks like. I'd be studying him like crazy. You get on, run on him all day. Don't wait.

Such a tough challenge, but totally possible to neutralize their lineup, especially at home.

With a healthy Woo, then Miller could've worked out of the pen.

But, still, you got game 5 at home. Great pitchers lose post season games. Hope is still alive. If they do pull it off, it will be amazing at home.

I'm worn out already from this run. Lot of drama.

I think I am going with Castillo, the experience factor. I think that's really why they went after Castillo in the first place.
