That was probably the dumbest penalty in Seahawks history.
Thank God it didn't ultimately cost us.
That WAS the real Superbowl this year with the 2 best teams. No way the Patriots beat us.
GO HAWKS !!!!
100% to all of this.
too late now so they'll have to ride with Riq for one more game, but i cannot believe MM will allow Woolen back (for bigger money) after that MOST FOOLISH undisciplined behavior that nearly cost him his first SB. that was as brutal for us as the fumbled punt was by the Rams. reminiscent of the UW gaffe vs Rutgers a year ago that did cost them the game.

Yeah, it would have been a huge mistake. This organization is not infallible.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 4:22 amAnd Geno too, they wanted to extend him. Kubiak claimed one of the reasons he took the job was to work with Geno. You have to wonder how much better Geno might have been if he'd worked with kubiak
Geno is a cry baby bitch. Not a leader.
Sam runs laps around the guy when it comes to managing a locker room.
And with a young team, this was very much needed.

I just do not understand the need to be an ass while playing a sport. I roll my eyes when a QB over/under throws a receiver and the CB does a Dikembe finger wave like he had something to do with the incomplete pass. Why can't more guys be like Kupp or JSN and be confident in their ability without being a jackass?57reasons wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 4:33 am^^^^^XpertDBA wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 3:16 amI really thought the Woolen fuck-up was going to be the end of us.

Guys talk shit all game long. I promise you that fucker Nakua was talking all game, and likely Stafford. Riq let his emotions get the best of him, but that was a chickenshit call, and not a flag that should have been thrown at that time.
But Jesus, who the Fuck Cares!? We just won the God Damn NFCCG. Who gives a shit about Riq making a mistake? The dude played damn good football this year.

Thats my point, I don't think he is. If he had stuck with kubiak it might have saved his careerMichael K. wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 6:16 amHaha, the only thing I wonder about Geno is how the Fuck is he still in the League!?trharder wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 4:31 amYou can go ahead and wonder if you want. With all due respect, we will have trouble figuring out what to talk about for the next two weeks without discussingMichael K. wrote: ↑Mon Jan 26, 2026 6:19 amGuys talk shit all game long. things like Woolen. I think taunting is the dumbest and most hypocritical flag in football. The whole team can
celebrate in the endzone after an interception and taunt the opposing team's fans, but you can't talk shit to the other
team in some arbitrary way? That's ridiculous. 15 yards for a flag (usually) after the whistle. You could tell there was
a point in that game where the refs chose to make their presence known. It started on a Rams kickoff return where
they called the Rams for a ticky tac block in the back of Bobo. I knew they'd turn around get the Hawks for something
stupid and they did. They never quit throwing flags after that and luckily we got one for the hold on Kupp. Overall,
in hindsight, the flags balanced out, but I don't like to see the refs take that much of a role in how a nail-biter is
going to turn out.
Re: Hawks vs Hams NFC Championship game thread
It may be that I don't understand a dead ball taunting penalty but shouldn't the result of the 4th down play stood and the ball belong to the Seahawks and the penalty assessed against our offense instead of the giving the Rams a first down?
I mean the play was over and it should have been Seahawks ball.
