Re: 7 Huskies to the combine
Lots of rumors out there. I can't remember where I heard it, but I heard that Bryant and Ahmed both trained with the same guy and both ran TERRIBLE 40 times. Added muscle was one excuse.57reasons wrote: ↑Wed Apr 22, 2020 5:25 amAdams and Ahmed's stock decline are both puzzling, Ahmed probably more so. i mean how do you go from 4.32 to 4.65? and it cant all be the knee - he still broke a 90 yarder vs. SC last year, and i recall a few runs the previous season where he'd hit the extra gear running sideways to turn the corner, when by all rights the DE/LB seemed to have had the angle to prevent it. Adams tried hard but hasn't been the same since his stellar sophomore season before the injuries.
Hopefully this is a cautionary tale. Like I said before, this isn't the NBA where you can be Tony Wrotten, never contribute at all at the Pro level and still me rich beyond belief. These kids cost themselves a lot of money. And for what? Because they were tired of school? I said it before, but how hard could it be to be a stud on the football team at the U of W? You will probably NEVER be as popular again...and carrying bags for vets and being practice squad fodder can't possible be better!

Exactly. I sure as hell would have spent another year at UW partying my ass off than becoming a bank teller making $6.20 an hour at third and Pine downtown Seattle. No guarantees they will even make that much this year.Michael K. wrote: ↑Wed Apr 29, 2020 3:19 pmLots of rumors out there.
