I don't know how Gordon is going to work out but it could get out of control. You think Wilson looks good now.

here RW is leading the MVP race at the halfway point, for as good a season as McCaffrey is having he doesn't really see him getting into the MVP race...some nice things to say about MK and rookie of the year

I'm too old to win rookie of the year, but it's a nice thought. haha

come back player?....here is what he said about DK, figured pro and dtrain should get some props again...
While I'm generally loath to totally throw away a player's scouting report after a half-season of football, it's clear that the scaremongering surrounding Metcalf before the draft wasn't accurate. Metcalf can do more than run in a straight line. He's not limited to go or fade routes, although he's absolutely terrifying when the Seahawks get him isolated against a smaller cornerback. Metcalf is threatening teams on deep crossing routes and drag routes, where he can use his 6-foot-3 frame to create separation from opposing cornerbacks and his speed to run away from opposing linebackers after the catch. Russell Wilson's unconscious first half on deep balls has made this the perfect landing spot for Metcalf, but the rookie wideout is playing his part, too.

He's definitely a finalist. It's looking like it's down to Russ or Lamar Jackson
Jackson is as dynamic as they come with his feet but his passing skills are mediocre at best. He is 20th in the league in yards, 13th in qb rating, 17th in TD's and 17th in completion percentage. I have a hard time seeing the voters giving the MVP to a QB with those numbers.

He's all that's being talked about on ESPN this morning. I watched Get Up to see what they said about Wilson and everything was about Lamar

He just single handedly beat us and the Patriots in back to back weeks, and did it without really needing to throw. I see RG III, which means I don't believe this can or will last...but he is going to be the talk of the NFL until someone stops him.

In order for Russ to win the MVP the Hawks will have to at least 1 playoff game.

Aren't the votes counted before the playoffs?

The NFL MVP, along with all the other sports, is for the regular season only. The playoffs have zero impact. You SERIOUSLY don't know this?

Bill Barnwell has Wilson as his MVP so far. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/280 ... okies-more

So, who cares? If Wilson's performance drops at all, he'll be bounced from the MVP race. The NFL has its darlings and Russ isn't one of them. Granted he getting a lot of attention and deserves it. Without him this team are the Jets/Dolphins, but the NFL wants Rodgers/Brady/Brees...anyone other than any player from Seattle.
