That's called The Mariners trying to make news out of nothing..... or at least trying to make good news (because the offense sucks) out of nothing.
Exactly. They would rather do that than start Bryce miller on regular 4 days rest. I despise this org.

Have you been watching?

It's not a very exciting team. They have no true middle of the order bats. It's boring. It's the Marco Gonzales of teams.

If their pitching isn't as good as last year it could go south in a hurry.

Polanco needs 450 PAs or he won't be back. I will be shocked if he gets there. Thank God. So a 19 yo with 144 pro PAs is going to be our starting SS next season? lol I do agree he is 10 more exciting the Emerson who everyone is in love with for some reason.
Obviously it's a long season, but I don't see any reason why Polanco won't hit 550 PAs. He's swinging the stick from both sides at an elite level, he'll be moved up in the order and the Mariners need to cling to every decent hitter they can get right now. No way he gets extended rest

Julio is supposed to be the MOTO bat but isn't really. He gives away too many ABs. It's frustrating. I wonder what Edgar and Kevin Seitzer are thinking when they watch him at the plate.

I'm guessing it has to do with the Mariners currently being 29th in team batting average and 25th in slugging percentage. 18th in OBP.

Okay, so I guess our hitting coaches don't actually know anything about hitting.
