Dipotos extension
Now, we don't know the exact length of time that Dipoto was given, but it was certainly something that gave him the freedom and power to move on from Servais. The thought had been that both parties with free agents after the 2024 season and that both could be replaced after the season. Evidently, Dipoto was extended and given the control to make moves he felt were necessary. The team fired Servais and hired former M's catcher Dan Wilson as his replacement. Seattle still missed the playoffs by 1.0 game

I see a bunch of Yoan Moncada links. One of them came from the same reporter that broke the Randy trade. If the offense got 3B Moncada, 2b Lowe, and say JT for 1B/DH would you be satisfied?
No. They need a bigger splash at 1B if Moncada is the choice at 3B.

Hopefully they said, "You've got one more season to make the playoffs."

How does Mike Salk get paid to talk about sports. First he wanted to trade DK Metcalf and now he wants to trade Luke Raley to make room for Lamont Wade Jr.

Raley put of 3.2 WAR and Lamont put up 2.1 WAR
Wade has been a platoon hitter throughout his career, hitting .251 with a .790 OPS versus right-handers compared to .207 with a .564 OPS against left-handers. But he did show improved numbers against lefties while hitting .324 with an .840 OPS in a limited sample size of 43 plate appearances in 2024.

“I would have loved him at the trade deadline last year, but once you kind of move things the way you did, I’m just not sure he’s a great option the way he was,” Salk said. “But I also don’t think that Luke Raley should block you from doing whatever it is you wanna do. If that’s something that you think matters, you can find another home for Luke Raley. You can trade Raley.”

They likely said, "keep making us money and you get SCOTUS tenure"

Yeah, that's weird. Wade is okay I guess. He's basically lefty Ty France. I wouldn't trade for him though because he's Arb 3 and I'm not paying him that. If he's non-tendered then I might give it a shot.

This could be interesting but he probably just forgot about him. So we are going to have to count on both Mitches, JP, Julio and Randy having bounce back years.

I don't mind Rojas but I can't imagine the M's want to pay him an Arb3 salary.
