They should probably all be open NOW.

So, yeah, given the destruction these Dem governors seem intent on inflicting on their states with unnecessary lockdowns, chances are not all will listen to the obvious science.

The teachers don't want to go back. They've had great vacations. Dealing with stupid unions now. Of course they'll milk it.
It's frustrating for sure. The district we are in are only back 2 days a week -- a friend's district (25 min away) is back 4 days a week. I don't get why it's different.

We've had candid discussions with my kid's teachers and they seem to all want to go back - they're tired of doing both in person and zoom learning. They just want their regular classrooms back.

That is false, you are reading too much Bullshit. Most teachers want to go back....and ARE back now. You realize that almost all the kids are at least going to a rotating schedule in person. Who do you think teaches them while they are there, in person? The majority of teachers are back full time, the kids just rotate.

But, that was my point. Biden saying they should be back in the Fall is stupid. They should be back now, and most are.

It's different because there are more compliant muppets in your area that act like it's the norm instead of pushing for the obvious charade to end.

The problem with getting everyone back to normal, is that the politicians and 'media' will have less power over you - and they are terrified of giving up that control. At this point, it's about control, and once everyone is 'over' being scared by the absurd scare tactics of the leftist media and politicians, that is when the backlash against their nonsense will begin - and they know it. They control the population with fear and rage - but too many people are seeing through this and are starting to recognize and respond. Teachers want to go back to work, kids need to be around other kids. All the bullshit the politicians and unions are heaping on the public will result in a major backlash against them - don't kid yourself. People have had enough. The pendulum ALWAYS swings back the other way. ALWAYS. A school district in Texas just forced the entire school board to resign for bullshit policies and a whole new board was voted in. The previous school board was so scared because SO many parents showed up - and they were pissed off at the board. That's the way it's supposed to be - government in a free country is supposed to be afraid of the people - not the other way around. And all over the country we are seeing recalls and actions to reclaim the government and elected officials. It takes time, but with every action there is a reaction.

Democrats should be terrified of the '22 elections - they are going to get blown out of the water. They are going to reap exactly what they've sown. Don't mistake that to be glorification of the Republicans - it's not - but since they are the only real other choice, people will run to them in droves. The people have had enough. Ever notice that every outrage that the leftists/'media heap on the country - never has any solution? Not. Ever. You think that's by accident?

Anyone see this? I think this is the mood across the country - far more than these idiot politicians realize. They should be very nervous. These people have long forgotten who they work for.

Where we live, it's a highly educated area. I think people tend to overthink things and the school district is just guilty of being over cautious. It must be nice living in a simpleton area - dig some ditches, tv dinner, and fox news/hee haw. Rinse and repeat. 'Murica.

Yes, they are covering their ass. The precautions taken are over the top, but in today's day and time? Probably worth it.

I just checked out the Suburban from the school district for a road game. Normally it would just involve signing off for the keys and the Credit Card for gas. Now? We have a sanitizing protocol to follow before returning it. The School District is just as aware as you and I that contracting the virus through contact with a surface is nearly impossible...but they have to cover every base or some Kraen will sue. That is really all it is.

Oh, and the reason I had to check out a Suburban is the School Bus we are taking won't have a free row between the driver and the passengers and they won't be able to have one person per seat....so we have to take an extra vehicle. More COVID protocol that is most likely completely unnecessary, but needs to be done. Again, CYA for the School District.

Agree, it's all CYA. We can't even shake hands or "elbow bump" after baseball games. Both teams just line up on the baselines and tip their caps at eachother. And of course, all kids get a squirt of hand sanatizer before they leave the field. It's just bizarro world.

Yep, run around the same field using the same ball all game...then one cheer and a waive after. It's the same here.

Agree, really dumb. I have a hard time coaching (running around, yelling at kids) with a mask on. I can't imagine what it's like to do long distance running. So lame.
