Best solution for the 503 problem is the forum software is about 2 major versions behind the latest. We are running 3.2.8, they are now on 3.3.11

It runs on php 7.1 to 7.3 which is no longer supported and it might be that the host has insisted on using php 8.4 because support for the previous versions is ending in December.

Bit like all the nonsense about Windows 10 being unsupported soon and trying to get everyone over to Windows 11.
